SPENCER TUNICK'S GRAND NUDES

I'm a big fan of Spencer Tunick's photography. If you're not familiar with his work, he's known for taking nudes on a grand scale, often with hundreds or thousands of participants. Recently, he organized 5,000 people to strip nude in Australia:

His work resonates with me because he does so much to promote body acceptance, equality, and human beauty. Two documentaries have been made about his work, Naked States and Naked World. I recommend you check them out.

I was lucky enough to be a part of this shoot... 5,200 people arrived and it was amazing to be nude in amongst that kind of number. After a while, apart from the cold, you don't feel strange because everyone else is nude too.
The range of body shapes, sizes and ages was as vast as is physically possible, from a straight married couple about 65 years old and 140kg+ each (300lb?) to babies a few months old, a woman due to give birth that day, gay, straight, tattoed, pierced, dreadlocked, conservative and everything in between. A liberating and fantastic experience.
