I’ve been a huge fan of Erika Moen’s webcomic, DAR: A Super Girly Top Secret Comic Diary for years, now. Don’t let the title fool you; the only thing ‘girly’ about ‘DAR’ is Moen herself, who just happens to be a girl. The comic, running since 2004, highlights brief moments of Moen’s life, running from the mundane to the vulgar, the personal and the erotic, the highs and the lows.
When Moen started working on DAR, she identified as a lesbian and did so until she met Matt Nolan, and the two of them later married. Moen still identifies as queer, and her story serves as a great example for anyone who misunderstands that sexuality is fluid and nothing is as clear cut as it seems.
These days, the comic regularly features on Erika and Matt’s relationship, and strips are bound to ring true to anyone who’s ever been in a functional long term relationship.
(I deliberately chose the strips that I did here, because I know my readership, and I know that showing dick is probably a pretty good way to get your interest. I know it’s a good way to catch mine. Also, buttsex is a pretty good way for people of all sexual varieties to relate to one another.)
