BACK IN FORCE

I took a few weeks off of blogging, or at least slowed down to a crawl. Sometimes blogging isn’t the most important thing in the world. Sometimes writing is, sometimes it isn’t. Writing is always the itch at the back of my brain. Blogging comes from my need to show you what inspires me, what turns me on, what makes me hard.

Norman Sinanian‘s photos of model Trevor Wayne, via Try State Magazine’s Blog. Wayne definitely hits me where a long-time attraction has always lived in my brain: tattoos, piercings, punks.

Wayne has a self-published zine, Trevor Wayne Pin-Up Show that contains nudes shot by the likes of Eric Schwabel and Clive Barker. It’s a beautiful book.

Cody Cummings. I mentioned that I like porn, right? I may not write about mainstream porn a lot on the blog but I do watch quite a bit of it. I woke up with Cummings on the brain this morning. I had a dirty dream last night (I don’t have them often) and I woke up thinking about him for some reason.

I was once told by a comic book store owner that there are very few customers like me. Few people buy both superhero comics and photocopied, hand-stapled mini-comics. I feel the same way about porn, and sex. I can really dig the high-brow stuff, I live for it, but I’m right there with everyone else when it comes to the low-brow stuff, too. It’s why I write good “literary” erotica but I write Crash Course as well. I don’t think there’s always a difference. The differences seem self-imposed. It usually comes from someone who’s trying to prop themselves up by cutting someone else down.
